Paediatric Endocrinologist – Dr Priya Augustine

MBBS, DCH, FRACP

Dr Priya Augustine is a Paediatric Endocrinologist who completed her Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Adelaide.  She completed training in paediatric endocrinology at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide, as well as the Queensland Children’s Hospital in Brisbane.

She is a member of the Australia and New Zealand Society for Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes, the Endocrine Society and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

Priya has a broad range of experience across all areas of paediatric endocrinology including:

• Growth disorders
• Thyroid disorders
• Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia
• Pituitary disorders
• Disorders of puberty
• Obesity
• Diabetes (Children on Insulin are seen at the Endocrine Clinic at WCH)

Priya works at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Adolescent Department and has been a clinical lecturer at the University of Adelaide. She has contributed to mentoring trainee paediatricians and organising RACP examinations. She is also involved in ongoing clinical research as part of the Vaccinology and Research Trials Unit at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. 

As a mother of two toddlers, she has her hands full outside of work and understands the importance of holistic, family-centered care.
