SA Paediatrics and Newborns (SAPAN) – Dr Piyumi Sirisena

Dr Piyumi Sirisena is a general paediatrician who cares for children of all ages, from newborn babies through to teenage years. She has expertise in treating and managing multiple common concerns in infants, such as unsettled babies, poor growth, and feeding issues, as well as common paediatric medical conditions such as constipation, iron deficiency, bed wetting, asthma, and eczema. She has a strong interest in the growth and development of children.

She is thorough and believes it important to work with families in navigating through their child’s condition and ongoing management. Piyumi strives to help families and children to reach their full potential.

Piyumi completed her medical degree at Monash University (Melbourne) in 2006. She has worked in multiple hospitals across Australia in both metropolitan and rural settings. In 2012 Piyumi re-located to South Australia where she has exclusively worked in Paediatric and Neonatal medicine. She is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
