Neelamani is a trained counsellor and psychotherapist. What is most important to her is to create a safe, welcoming, and relaxed environment for children and adolescents to explore and
overcome the challenges they face. She is passionate about addressing attachment
issues and strengthening the parent child relationship. Neelamani takes time to build
rapport with each child so that they are comfortable and able to give their best effort
through the assessment.
Neelamani’s counselling and psychotherapy sessions are based on developing social skills in children which prepares them for a life time of healthier interactions in all aspects of life. Effective
communication with others, good manners, empathy are important solid skills a child
should have. She highly values individualised and tailored treatment approaches
using best evidence-based practice.
Neelamani supports children and adolescents with self-esteem, emotion regulation,
school difficulties, peer relationship issues, behavioural issues, trauma, sleep
difficulties, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), depression and anxiety. Neelamani has
experience in working with children, adolescents, adults and families to assist them
to overcome a range of presenting issues, and she also provides parenting counselling.
Neelamani endeavors to develop strong therapeutic relationships and treats all clients
with dignity, respect and compassion.
