Welcome to SAPAN’s Paediatric Psychology Services. Are you looking for a family and child psychologist? We offer family counselling and therapy for kids, teens, and adults. It can often be challenging to determine whether a problem or concern is “just a phase.” If you or your family member is experiencing difficulties emotionally, academically, behaviorally, or developmentally, it is crucial to seek professional help early. Our Services

Child Psychology Services

We offer specialised assessment, diagnostic, and treatment services for your child or teenager. We pledge to use only tools and strategies that have been researched and found effective. We actively liaise with your child’s doctor and school to ensure comprehensive support for positive change.

We treat the following childhood difficulties:

• Problems with attention and concentration
• Depression or mood difficulties
• Low self-esteem / low self-confidence
• Bullying
• Behavioural problems, including oppositionality
• Anxiety (including separation anxiety and OCD)
• Coping with divorce or other family problems, including loss

We also provide assessments for children and adolescents who need IQ testing, may have a learning problem, and/or may be gifted. When ADHD is suspected, we conduct thorough ADHD assessments (involving input from parents, teachers, and medical doctors) and school readiness assessments when there is a question regarding your child’s readiness for school.

Adolescent Psychology Services

Working with teenagers requires a unique set of skills and experience. Our team of psychologists specialises in helping young people navigate this tricky stage of life, providing assessment, diagnostic, and treatment services that leverage their strengths and interests.

• Anxiety (including HSC stress and procrastination)
• Adolescent behavioral problems, including conduct disorder
• Teenage depression (including self-harming)

• Low self-esteem / low self-confidence

We also provide testing for adolescents, addressing queries regarding IQ, possible learning problems, or giftedness. Our thorough ADHD assessments involve input from parents, teachers, and medical doctors when ADHD is suspected.
